RT-100
Emergency Receiver
The RT-100 Emergency Receiver (also marketed under the name “CrewGuard”) monitors the international emergency frequency 121.500 MHz. The receiver triggers an acoustic alarm whenever a signal is received on this frequency. At the same time, a relay activates external alarm devices. In the “selective squelch” mode, an alarm is triggered only if the signal is transmitted by an emergency beacon (ELT, PLB or EPIRB ). This eliminates false alarms caused by radio frequency interference or radio traffic from aircraft that use this frequency as a calling frequency.
